Spec Review / decision worksheet
Stand up paddle board wholesale specification review
Turn a product phrase into an item-specific request. This worksheet organizes the questions a board quotation and any battery pump option should answer before a buyer chooses the next procurement step.
Request specification review
Read the quotation against a controlled worksheet
The entries below are review groups, not completed product specifications. Ask each supplier to answer the same revision and identify deviations. Keep “requested,” “supplier stated” and “evidence reviewed” distinct, especially when a proposed alternative changes accessories or construction.
| Review group | Buyer request | Response and evidence to request |
|---|---|---|
| Board identity | Inflatable or rigid request; intended activity and user profile | Exact model, construction description and current instructions |
| Measurable configuration | Requested material; length, width and thickness in explicit units | Proposed dimensions, tolerances and material specification |
| Use limitations | Questions about capacity, rated load and intended conditions | Model-specific limits, stated conditions and exact-item test evidence where applicable |
| Inflation and pump | Requested valve interface; pressure and power questions if relevant | Board instructions, pump model, adapters, battery capacity and charger documents |
| Kit and packaging | Components per set, graphic revisions and transport pack | Component list, pack ratio, carton dimensions and substitution exclusions |
| Commercial scope | Pieces or sets, US destination and required timing | MOQ by variant, sample cost, quoted lead-time assumptions, currency and freight terms |
Budget changes the comparison question
A board-only proposal and a complete kit may each suit a different budget objective. Normalize included accessories and packaging before judging them. High-end preference can emphasize finish or coordination scope; budget preference can seek fewer optional components. Neither preference verifies construction quality, performance or supplier status.
For an optional target budget, specify the currency and whether the number is per unit or for the complete order. Ask which charges are excluded. A total-order target cannot be compared directly to a unit figure with unspecified freight and sample costs.
Close an evidence question at the correct level
- Requested: record the buyer's required dimensions, material and accessory configuration, with the revision date.
- Documented: check that quotation, instructions and any test evidence refer to the exact proposed model and conditions; generic family documents leave the question open.
- Sample reviewed: agree dimensions, graphics, included components and packaging checks in advance. Record reviewer and exceptions; do not describe an unperformed performance test as passed.
- Order confirmed: match the approved configuration and outstanding exclusions to the order-specific supplier response before making a purchasing decision.
No evidence provided here establishes operating pressure, capacity, stability or life-saving suitability. A board photo, material name or buoyancy description is insufficient to infer those properties. Request the appropriate model-specific basis and keep unresolved issues visible.
